After about a year of trial and error and repeated testing, we achieved results that are more than three times our initial target in terms of endurance time.

Here is an introduction to a case study of a major textile factory that introduced KAI's "carbon fiber cutting blade." In the manufacturing process of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), we developed a blade to finely cut carbon fibers as thin as human hair. Our goal was to extend the durability and prevent fiber remnants, and after about a year of trial and error and extensive testing, we achieved results that exceeded our initial durability target by more than three times. With stable machine operation now possible, we were able to realize cost reductions, which greatly satisfied our client. We have developed a cutting tool for trimming burrs generated in the manufacturing of automotive seat foam.

We would like to introduce a case study of a major automotive seat polyurethane foam factory that has implemented the "urethane sheet cutting blade" from Kai Corporation. The customer's request was to achieve a blade that cuts smoothly and effortlessly. During the development phase, it became clear that thin and soft polyurethane is a very difficult material to cut. After about six months of trial and error and repeated testing, we sharpened the blade angle and applied a fluorine coating.
